Porter is a student filmmaker/screenwriter born and raised in Reed City, Michigan. He graduated from Reed City High School and is currently pursuing a degree in Film, Television, and Media, with a sub major in screenwriting, at the University of Michigan.

In his free time Porter volunteers as a Camp Counselor at Great Lakes Burn Camp and serves as the Production Director for NOiR Runway Fashion.
